Embarking on the Full Day Rafting Adventure with Blue Sky Rafting allows guests the opportunity to slow down and spend a day floating at the pace of the river. The Full Day Rafting Adventure begins in the heart of the Glenwood Canyon with an exhilarating 1.5 mile descent through the action filled and continuous Class III Shoshone Rapids. From Grizzly Creek, the trip transitions into a more leisurely and scenic section of the river. This beautiful float, with intermittent splashes and occasional Class II-III waves, guides adventurers through the 1500' walls of Glenwood Canyon and into Glenwood Springs. During the morning section, the Full Day Rafting Adventure ensures a perfect blend of whitewater thrills, stunning scenery, and moments of relaxation.

For lunch, enjoy a professionally catered riverside lunch at out private river park, located just downstream of the Glenwood Whitewater Park.  This experience is sure to please nearly all dietary restrictions and likes. (Please note that all dietary restrictions should be communicated to Blue Sky Rafting staff during the reservation process to ensure proper preparation and to discuss options/limitations). Upon refueling, guests continue downstream with the guide and raft, but with the additional option to add one or two person inflatable kayaks to increase the experience.  This option is based on each individual groups preference with your guide remaining in the raft to help ensure that every member has the comfort and security to return to the raft if inflatable kayaking becomes more adventurous than desired.  During the afternoon section that passes through South Canyon, guests pass an active Bald Eagle nesting area and a Great Blue Heron rookery (nesting area), with additional wildlife sighting always possible.

The overall length of the trip will vary depending on the current day river flows and conditions, with a 18 mile float lasting 4 - 5.5 hours on the river being is most common (5.5 - 6.5 hours in total).
