Take advantage of our Early Bird Rafting Special, available exclusively on our 8:15 AM trip. This special morning offering provides the same great Colorado River experience at a reduced price for guests who are looking for  an earlier start to their day. During the booking process, you'll have the option to choose the Half Day Rafting Adventure (includes Shoshone Rapids) or the Mild & Scenic Raft Trip (excludes Shoshone Rapids), allowing you to customize your experience based on your comfort level and sense of adventure.

Guests selecting the Half Day Advneture will begin with the exciting Class III Shoshone Rapids before continuing through more than 12 miles of spectacular scenery beneath the towering 1,500-foot walls of Glenwood Canyon. Those choosing the Mild & Scenic Adventure will bypass the rapids and join the trip at Grizzly Creek for a peaceful 10-mile float featuring stunning canyon views, occasional splashy sections, wildlife viewing opportunities, and a relaxing river experience. Regardless of which option you choose, all guests enjoy the beauty of the Colorado River, professional guides, and one of Glenwood Springs' most memorable outdoor adventures.

MOST POPULAR RIVER TRIP – This trips is the “bread and butter”, as it provides the perfect balance between enjoyable Class III rapids and scenic floating in the heart of the Glenwood Canyon on the Colorado River.  Additionally, if some members of your group would rather miss the first 2 miles of the Shoshone Rapids, simply combine the Half Day Adventure and the Mild & Scenic Half Day to provide a customized river adventure perfect for all participants. Blue Sky Rafting has been offering this trip since 1975, and the morning trip times are historically the guides favorite, as the river and boat ramps are quieter and less congested; enhancing an already enjoyable experience.

This trip begins at the Shoshone Rapids (an app. 2 mile Class III to III+ section on the Colorado River) then continues downriver for approximately 12 miles (average flows), ending at the Blue Sky Rafting private boat ramp in West Glenwood Springs.
