Operated in conjunction with our popular Half Day Rafting Adventure, the Mini-Max Rafting Adventure kicks off with an exhilarating 1.5-mile descent through the dynamic Class III Shoshone Rapids. As the journey progresses progresses past Grizzly Creek, it smoothly transitions into a more leisurely and scenic stretch of the river. This part of the adventure offers a delightful float with intermittent splashes and occasional Class II-III waves, guiding adventurers through the towering 1500' walls of Glenwood Canyon, ultimately concluding in Glenwood Springs. For added excitement, participants can opt to swim alongside the raft during various sections of the trip, particularly on those blissfully warm summer days. Spanning over 12 miles of river, the Mini-Max Rafting Adventure guarantees a perfect mix of whitewater thrills, awe-inspiring scenery, and moments of relaxation—a truly inclusive experience for everyone.

This trip is an absolute blast!  It mirrors the Half Day Adventure in that it puts on at the Shoshone Boat Ramp and floats a total of 12 miles through the Glenwood Canyon.  It is very different in the fact that you do this float with a maximum of 4 others (plus a guide) in a Mini-Max raft, a more playful and active 10.5′ paddle raft.  Blue Sky Rafting is the only company that runs this trip, so if adventure is what you are after, this is the trip for you. Hanging Lake Adventure Co-op recommends that you have prior Class III+ rafting experience before you jump into this lively boat.

This trip begins at the Shoshone Rapids (an app. 2 mile Class III to III+ section on the Colorado River) then continues downriver for approximately 12 miles (average flows), ending at the Blue Sky Rafting private boat ramp in West Glenwood Springs.
